Alfie is often categorized as a comedy, but viewer beware. It is a darkly realistic drama with a touch of humor thrown in for good measure. Alfi, played by Michael Caine, is a ladies man in the swinging 60's. Alfie does as he pleases moving from woman to woman. The player eventually gets played when he decides to settle down with a woman...who ditches him for a younger man.
